I have used the Detech SEF 10x12 with my Golden Mask 6. It’s light and robust and though designed for 18kHz, operates well at 15kHz being sensitive to small and thin targets with good depth with accurate sound and histogram discrimination. It also works quite well at 5KHz but not quite as well as the GM Spider 12” I have, it’s close but not quite so deep in my experience. However, pinpointing your target is easier due to the shape and design of this SEF coil. I have also found it offers a reduction in EMI on some of my noisier permissions and so it’s proven very useful there in the past. The mounting ears are very strong, the coil cover resilient, strain relief and cable all of very good quality. If cared for, this coil should last a very long time and yield some great finds. I sold mine, a rather rash decision I regret so more than likely will buy another from Detnix/Thrace detectors.
